Reflection on my digitalportfolio

I have made an website, introducing my school, using weebly. It's the first time I have made website. The appearance of the website is quite simple, but it was little bit attractive. Also it seems to navigate viewer to what they would like to see. Information was little and that's the only thing I didn't do well.

Content is about the lesson of technology. Headings are ‘Education world’. Sybjects are teachers, administrators and lesson plans.

2. What is about the web design? What is not so good? ( Refer to colors, organization of images and text, types of images etc.)

The web is colorless and complicated; also the font style is not so good. So many information in one page.

3. Make comments about the organization of the portfolio. ( Refer to navigation and how items are found)

The organization (Education world) is teaching technology but it doesn’t seem to have good ability in tech- due to the outlook of website.

The content is about the class of E-portfolio. Heading is “Using E-Portfolios in the Classroom”

The design is like a blog, what I don’t like is the structure of website, it’s not interesting nor is attracting. In the other word boring.

I say I was impressed by the content, it is organized and understandable. Color is not so nice, they’d better make it brighter. And the information was not squeezed like www.educationworld.com/a_tech/tech111.shtml. Overall the homepage is not attractive.

Portfolio

What is digital portfolio?

Digital portfolio is also called as electronic portfolio. It is a collection of electronic evidences or data assembled and managed by user. It is usually used for self- expression and educational programs. For example, blog, Facebook and homepages.

Almost all the time the content of portfolio will constantly updated if user is online.

What are strengths?

· Computer skill will be improved.

· Can express\share someone’s memories easily.

· Accessible for everybody.

· Can give tasks in moment.

What are weaknesses?

· Accessible for everybody even strangers.

· Students cannot work if teacher doesn’t give enough information( In school, student can ask questions)

· Make someone sad if no one comment or say ‘good’ to the post

Find a digital portfolio that you like and hyperlink the URL and describe the strengths and weakness of the portfolio.

Strength is that students can print document (given by teacher) if they lost and sometimes more understandable than verbal instruction.

Weakness is that student cannot understand if teacher just posted questions and didn’t give what to do (I had this kind of problem last year).
